The National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a mandatory digital capacity-building programme titled ‘Pariksha Karmayogi’ on the ‘iGOT Karmayogi Bharat’ platform. While designed to standardize the conduct of all NTA-led offline examinations, the initiative has gained immediate urgency as the agency prepares for the upcoming NEET-UG re-examination on June 21. This initiative is designed to standardize the supervision and conduct of all national offline, pen-and-paper examinations, aiming to enhance procedural compliance, efficiency, and accountability among all examination personnel nationwide.

This training has gained urgency following the controversy surrounding the NEET-UG examination, originally held on May 3. After allegations of a paper leak led to its cancellation on May 12, the NTA is now under intense pressure to ensure the re-examination on June 21 proceeds securely. The training is specifically targeted at Centre Superintendents and invigilators to prevent such lapses.

By implementing this assessment-based certification, the agency aims to enforce stricter, uniform standards at every examination centre. The programme provides self-paced learning and formal certification, ensuring that every official involved in high-stakes testing is fully equipped to maintain the sanctity, transparency, and fairness of the examination process.

As the CBI continues its investigation into the previous leak, this security overhaul marks a crucial step in the government’s efforts to rebuild student trust and eliminate procedural loopholes in the medical entrance system.
