Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu announced on Friday that the investigation into the Air India Flight AI-171 crash is proceeding with professional rigor, aligned with both national and international protocols. Marking the one-year anniversary of the disaster that occurred on June 12, 2025, in Ahmedabad, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and objective inquiry to determine the exact cause of the catastrophic failure.

On the social media platform ‘X’, Minister Naidu expressed his deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the 260 individuals who lost their lives in the accident. He honored the memory of the victims, acknowledging the profound and lasting grief that remains for those they left behind, while reaffirming that the government stands firmly with the affected families during this somber milestone.

The incident occurred during the afternoon on June 12, as the London-bound flight plummeted, killing 241 passengers and crew, alongside 19 people on the ground. Remarkably, only one individual survived the disaster.

As the investigation continues, Naidu stated that the government remains fully committed to enhancing aviation safety standards, as the probe continues to move forward with the necessary diligence.
