CM Gupta launches new facilities under Mission Kayakalp to modernize Delhi's govt schools
Delhi CM inaugurated multiple Laadli Foundation initiatives on Thursday, which include an AI-integrated smart toilet, STEM lab, computer lab, and smart classroom, at the Government Boys' Senior Secondary School, Shalamar village.
Gupta said that she visited the school a year ago and was dissatisfied with the condition of toilets and other arrangements. When I came here for the first time, I had left very angry after seeing the condition of the toilets and other facilities. Today, after one year, I am happy to see that this school has emerged as one of the best among more than 1,000 schools in Delhi," she said. The facilities have been developed as part of an initiative that aimed at improving learning infrastructure and providing students with technology-enabled facilities in the government school.
CM said that now schools have smart boards in classrooms, a computer library, a STEM lab and a modern toilet with AI-based sensors that help maintain cleanliness, and thanked Honeywell Technologies president Ashish Modi and Laadli Foundation founder Devendra Gupta for providing these facilities to the students. A state cannot advance solely through governmental initiatives. People and society must also step forward and take the initiative. The nation and the state can only advance when society and the government cooperate," she stated. Recalling her involvement in community projects in her constituency, Gupta stated that she has previously collaborated with locals to plan events for women, children, and young people, such as giving out school bags and recognizing deserving pupils.
