Old building collapses in Rohini Sector 16 amid heavy rain; rescue operation underway to pull out those trapped

It is being reported that the building was old and that the collapse occurred due to heavy rain. There are fears that some people may be trapped under the debris. Four fire brigade vehicles have been dispatched, and a rescue operation has been launched to pull out those trapped.
Amid heavy rainfall in Delhi on Wednesday evening, a house collapsed in the Rohini area, causing panic. As soon as news of the incident came in, teams from the Delhi Fire Service and other rescue agencies rushed to the spot. It is feared that some people may be trapped beneath the debris. A relief and rescue operation is being carried out on a war footing to bring them out safely.
According to Delhi Fire Service officials, information about the incident was received around 4:20 pm on Wednesday. The collapse is said to have occurred near an MCD school in Rohini Sector-16, where a house suddenly crumbled and fell. On receiving the information, the Delhi Fire Service swiftly dispatched four rescue teams to the site. Rescue personnel are clearing the debris in search of those trapped inside. As a precaution, the surrounding area has also been secured to ensure the relief operations are not hindered.
