Party leaders direct workers to sharpen struggle on issues concerning youth, democracy and public sentiment

Haryana Congress in-charge Sanjay Dutt and Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee President Rao Narender Singh, while addressing organisational meetings in Ambala district, called upon party workers to strengthen the organisation down to the booth level, effectively take issues of public concern to the people, and further expand the Congress party's mass movements.

The meetings, held on Sunday and Monday, were attended by the executive committees of the Ambala Rural and Ambala Cantonment District Congress Committees, along with leaders and workers from the Ambala Cantonment, Mullana, and Naraingarh Assembly constituencies. The leaders reviewed organisational activities and held detailed discussions on the roadmap for upcoming programmes.

Sanjay Dutt said that the Congress party's objective is not merely to expand its organisation but to become the voice of the people in every struggle. He urged party workers to reach every village and ward to spread the Congress ideology, highlight issues of public interest, and strengthen awareness about the party's campaigns. He stated that a strong organisation is the greatest strength behind public confidence and democratic change.

Rao Narender Singh said that the Congress party's 'Students' Echo' campaign represents the legitimate voice of millions of students and young people across the country. He stated that the NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and the serious irregularities reported in the CBSE Class 12 Board examinations have put the future of the nation's youth at risk. Millions of students are facing mental stress and uncertainty, while the Union Government has confined itself to issuing formal statements instead of addressing the crisis effectively.

He further said that the alleged irregularities in the donations collected for the construction of the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya, along with the serious allegations surrounding them, have hurt the sentiments of millions of devotees. He emphasised that complete transparency and accountability in matters of faith are a moral responsibility in a democratic society and public life.

Rao Narender Singh alleged that the BJP-led Central Government is attempting to weaken democratic values by using pressure and inducements to poach elected representatives and leaders of opposition parties. He said that political competition in a democracy should be based on the trust of the people, not on the misuse of state power.

He also said that the forcible removal of Sonam Wangchuk from the protest site and the use of lathi-charge and tear gas against students peacefully protesting at Jantar Mantar constitute a serious attack on democratic rights. Peaceful protest, he said, is a constitutional right in any democracy, and attempts to suppress it through force are deeply unfortunate.

The leaders appealed to party workers to actively engage with the public and strongly raise issues concerning youth, farmers, employees, women, and ordinary citizens. They reaffirmed that the Congress party would continue its struggle to raise the voice of the people from the streets to the legislature.

Among those present at the meetings were SIR In-charge and MLA Chaudhary Aftab Ahmed, MLA Pooja Chaudhary, Ambala Cantonment District Congress President Parvinder Pari, Ambala Rural District Congress President Dushyant, office-bearers of the District Congress Committees, presidents of the concerned Block Congress Committees, and other party leaders and workers.
