Dharmendra Pradhan congratulates NEET re-exam topper Panshul Bansal amid resignation demands

Amid the ongoing protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over the NEET paper leak and the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) continuous demand for his resignation, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Sunday (July 19, 2026) met Panshul Bansal, the student who secured All India Rank-2 (AIR-2) in the NEET UG 2026 re-exam. He congratulated him on his success in the exam.

Dharmendra Pradhan shared this photo on the X platform at a time when, a day earlier on Saturday (July 18, 2026), activist Sonam Wangchuk — who was on a fast-unto-death at Jantar Mantar demanding the Union Education Minister's resignation — was removed from the protest site by Delhi Police and admitted to hospital after his health deteriorated. Meanwhile, Delhi Police has imposed prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the BNSS to stop CJP's proposed "Chalo Sansad" march scheduled for Monday (July 20).

He said that he had met Panshul Bansal from Haryana and congratulated him on his achievement. He also said that Panshul's performance is a symbol of the hard work, dedication, and aspirations of India's youth.
