The 23-year-old wife of international kabaddi player Sheelu Balhara allegedly took her own life at their residence in Haryana's Rohtak district on Friday afternoon. Muskan, who hailed from Rohtak's Meham area, had married Sheelu in December 2023. The couple had welcomed a son, Hardik, in November of the previous year. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene, and a forensic team was summoned to look into the matter. The motive behind the act remains unknown at this stage. According to villagers, as reported by The Tribune, the incident came to light on Friday afternoon when family members discovered Muskan hanging inside a room of the house.
Reports indicate that Muskan had shared a reel set to a Punjabi song just a day before the incident. This development follows closely on the heels of another case in Dehradun, where a government teacher reportedly died by suicide after allegedly facing harassment from her husband and in-laws.
