Regarding the incident, Nestle explained that the complaint was relayed through the FSSAI following the social media post.
Nestle India has officially rejected allegations circulating on social media regarding the presence of infestation in Maggi noodles. The controversy surfaced after an unverified account on X (formerly Twitter) posted claims, prompting the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to take cognizance and issue a formal notice to the company.
In response to the inquiry, the company reiterated that it adheres to the strictest quality and food safety standards across all its manufacturing operations. Maintaining full transparency with regulatory bodies is a core part of its corporate protocol. Nestle emphasized that it continuously monitors every production stage to ensure that only the highest quality products reach the hands of its millions of consumers nationwide.
To address the situation, Nestle sent reference samples from the concerned batch to an independent, FSSAI-notified, and NABL-accredited laboratory for rigorous testing. The company has already submitted all relevant documentation, including batch records, market-sampled reports, and official test findings, to the authorities. Nestle remains confident that these facts and documented proofs will clearly establish the truth and resolve the matter.
Regarding the incident, Nestle explained that the complaint was relayed through the FSSAI following the social media post. Despite persistent efforts, the company has been unable to contact the complainant or obtain a product sample.
Nestle maintains that its internal processes are robust and remains firm in its commitment to food safety.
