Monsoon activity is still present throughout Bihar, according to the most recent advisory from the Meteorological Centre in Patna. Light to moderate rainfall was recorded at a number of locations in the state's southwest and south-central regions during the previous 24 hours, and comparable rainfall was also recorded in a few locations in north-central, eastern, and north-western Bihar.On July 30, the weather service has issued a yellow alert for a number of areas in Bihar due to the potential for rain and thunderstorms.

Districts Under Yellow Alert

According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert for rainfall has been issued for north-western and north-eastern Bihar. Light to moderate rainfall is expected at several places in West Champaran, East Champaran, Gopalganj, Siwan, Saran, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Purnia, Katihar, Madhepura, and Saharsa. Meanwhile, one or two locations in southern and central Bihar, including Patna, Gaya, and Bhagalpur, may also experience rainfall.

An alert has also been issued for strong, gusty winds blowing at speeds of 30 to 40 km/h, along with thunder and lightning, in the districts of north-western and north-eastern Bihar.The maximum temperature in northern and south-western Bihar is expected to range between 32°C and 36°C, while in south-central and south-eastern Bihar, it is likely to remain between 32°C and 34°C.
