What to Eat and Avoid During Pregnancy
Pregnancy is a very important part of every woman's life. So one of the biggest questions for those who are going to become expecting mothers is: What to avoid and what to eat during pregnancy? A healthy diet plays a very vital role during the 9 months of pregnancy. It is very important for the growth of the baby and the health of the mother. So here is a list of what you should eat during pregnancy.

Green Vegetables: Spinach, broccoli, and bell peppers are filled with folate, fiber, and essential vitamins that support your baby's neural development and your own digestion.

Whole Grains: Oats, brown rice, and whole wheat bread provide steady energy and fiber, helping to relieve common pregnancy issues like constipation while keeping blood sugar levels stable.

Fruits: Bananas are a great source of potassium, which helps the body function normally, including maintaining healthy blood pressure.

Orange & Citrus Fruits: Citrus fruits contain vitamin C and also have a high water content, which helps with hydration.
Avocados: They contain healthy fats that provide energy. The potassium found in avocados is very good for the skin and provides relief from leg cramps, which are very common during pregnancy.

Dry Fruits: Dry fruits contain the same nutrients as fresh fruits but lack the water content that fresh fruits have. So always eat dry fruits in moderation, alongside fresh fruits.

Iron-Rich Foods: Red meat, spinach, and fortified cereals help prevent anemia, which is a very common concern during pregnancy.

Water: Staying well-hydrated supports amniotic fluid levels, digestion, and overall circulation.

Fruits to Avoid During Pregnancy
Pineapple (in large amounts): Contains bromelain, which in high quantities may soften the cervix and potentially trigger early contractions. Small amounts are usually fine.

Grapes: Some doctors advise caution in the third trimester due to their resveratrol content and potential toxin buildup on the skin, though evidence is mixed. Washing thoroughly reduces the risk.

Frozen Fruit: Some frozen fruits contain added sugars or preservatives, which offer little nutritional benefit.
Dry Fruits: Limited use of dry fruits is recommended. As for papaya and pineapple, caution around them is based more on tradition than strong clinical evidence, but doctors commonly recommend being careful anyway.
