Fans across Tamil Nadu celebrate first-day-first-show of Vijay's swansong film 'Jana Nayagan' with cakes, fireworks and drone light shows

In anticipation of the much-awaited "first day, first show" of Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay's film, "Jana Nayagan," frenzied fans and ardent TVK employees flocked to theaters throughout the state on Thursday morning.

As the actor-turned-politician's last film appearance finally appeared on screen, the theatrical release marked a significant and intensely emotional farewell that was commemorated in a number of vibrant and unprecedented ways. Energetic fans danced and sang outside theatres, expressing that they were both ecstatic and deeply anguished. Early in the morning, many of his supporters visited popular temples to offer special prayers for the grand success of the movie.
Jyothi Lakshmi, a fan in Namakkal, brought her small daughter, emphasizing how important it was to attend. "She skipped school for this because it is her first and his last film in theatres," she shared."He was Thalapathy on screen, but now he has reached a new place," declared another Namakkal fan, vowing to refocus their cinematic passion into supporting his political quest. We'll be there for him and firmly support his political achievements."

On Wednesday night, Chief Minister Vijay and a few other government officials attended a special private screening of the film in Chennai. This was the calm, intimate conclusion to a remarkable cinematic journey.
