857 Links Removed: Haryana Police Crack Down on Badshah’s ‘Tattiri’ Song Row
A controversy surrounding a song by Badshah has led to a major crackdown, with Haryana Police removing 857 links from social media platforms over objectionable content.
The action comes after authorities flagged the track “Tattiri” for allegedly featuring inappropriate words and visuals, particularly those considered offensive towards women and minors. Officials said strict steps were taken to prevent the further spread of such material online.
Breaking down the action, police confirmed that 154 videos were taken down from YouTube, while 703 reels were removed from Instagram. Platforms have also been formally directed to eliminate all remaining versions of the song under due legal procedures.
Senior officials made it clear that misuse of the banned content will invite consequences. Director General of Police Ajay Singhal stated that any content harming the dignity of women or minors will not be tolerated, while Panchkula Commissioner Sibash Kabiraj warned of strict legal action against those sharing or creating related videos.
The case originated with an FIR registered in Panchkula on March 6. During a March 19 hearing, police informed the Punjab and Haryana High Court that the singer is cooperating with the probe and has issued a public apology.
